Twist and Turn Napkins


Beginning Sewing:

In our beginning sewing class Terese will teach you basic sewing skills, and how to use your sewing machine & sewing tools. Using a pattern you will cut and sew a simple project.  You can bring your own machine or if you don't have one, you can use one of ours! Please call the shop for more information, supply list given out upon sign up.

Second Saturday Makers:

These Saturday workshops are meant to be easy and fun. No supply lists, no machines or tools needed.
 Just bring yourself, a friend, a daughter, a mother.... anyone who wants to be creative for a few hours can come.
Each month Terese will have a project to work on, all materials, supplies and tools will be provided for you at class. 
Get your 'creative' on and have some fun!   Please register in advance.

Linen T-Shirt:

Make a simple shirt with short sleeves and a scoop neck using the Scout Tee pattern from Grainline Studio.  
The construction is simple and because it is made from a light weight linen we can have some fun with raw edge finishing techniques.

Twist and Turn Napkins

Just in time for Easter! Be bold and pair up two large scale prints, or put together two holiday themed prints. These double sided napkins are pieced and then twisted and turned, giving you a variety of looks when folded different ways. The construction of the napkins anchor the two layers of fabric so they don’t lose their shape.

Pillows with Piping

Freshen up your decor for spring with some new pillows! Give your home a new pop of color when you learn how to make pillows with piping. You will learn how to make & sew in piping and insert a zipper. A square sample pillow will be made in class. Class fee includes materials.

Embroidery Club:  

Come and learn how to use your embroidery machine. This is a great opportunity to play with    
your machine and get to know about all of the wonderful things these embroidery machines can do! Each month    
Sue  will help you embroider a project that uses different techniques or stabilizers. This class is held on the 2nd Friday of every month. Supply list will be given upon sign up. All embroidery machine owners are welcome!

Embroidery Basics:  Embroidery 101 for your Bernina or Elna Embroidery Machines

For those of you who are new to embroidery, or just want to brush up on the basics, this class is for you.
You will learn how to manipulate your design in the hoop, as well as learn about stabilizers, needles and thread.

Bernina Accessory Foot Techinque Class:        #71 Lap Seam Foot      

Pojagi is a historic Korean art form of patchwork.  Traditionally pojagi piecing is done with a type of hand-sewn flat felled seam. We will use our #71 Lap Seam foot to speed the process up by using our machine.  This is a technique class for those with beginning-plus sewing skills.

Serger Class:     Chain Stitch Striped Pillow

In this class you will use the chain stitch on your serger to create contrasting stripes on solid fabric. We will 
make a quick and easy throw pillow out of linen or canvas.

Serger Class:     Serger Technique Workbook

Dust off those sergers and let’s get serging! This is a technique class only where you will complete a workbook with samples for your reference. You will learn how to set up for different stitches using 3 and 4 threads, how to turn corners and much more! You must be able to thread your serger. Private lessons are available to learn how to thread your serger, call the shop for more info!
